There is clearly a reason of why we always go back to basics and that is because they usually work.

Claramente hay una razón detrás de los básicos y esa es porque funcionan.

The first product on line is clearly Batiste Dry Shampoo, having curly hair don´t exempt me from using a dry shampoo I just use it a little different than straight hair girls, to be fair I don´t use it that often just when I´m in need. But everytime that happens it works and helps me to go through the day.

El primer producto es el Shampoo en Seco de Batiste, tener cabello rizado no me inhabilita de usar uno, la única diferencia es la forma en la que lo uso, que es un poco diferente a la de las chicas con cabello lacio. Tampoco es un producto que use muy seguido, solo cuando es necesario. Pero cada vez que eso sucede me ayuda a salir adelante con el día.

Then we have a Kérastase product called Oléo-Curl, perfect for curly hair as you can tell by the name, this thing has quite a funny effect in my hair; there are times that for some reason it doesn´t work as expected but most of the times it does... I think it depends of what my hair has gone through after shower and if at the time of application my hair is too wet or too dry. Anyhow... when it works, it makes wonders, I started to using these kind of leave-on creams and treatments after deciding to leave mousse products since they were in part responsible of my dull, dry hair and besides I didn´t like the texture after applying, so this little one has become a close friend during the years and is always on hand when I need it. 

Oléo-Curl de Kérastase es perfecto para el cabello rizado como lo indica su nombre, a su vez este producto tiene una reacción rara en mi cabello; hay veces que por alguna razón no funciona como siempre aunque casi siempre lo hace... creo que se debe a la forma en que mi cabello fue lavado durante la ducha y si esta demasiado seco o demasiado húmedo. De todas formas... funciona, y es maravilloso. Comencé a utilizar esta clase de tratamientos después de abandonar a los siempre confiables mousses ya que me di cuenta de hacían que mi cabello se viera opaco y seco aparte de que no me gustaba la textura tan rígida que dejan, así que este pequeñín se ha vuelto íntimo durante los años y siempre esta la mano cuando lo necesito.

Vichy Dermablend was my lifesaver for years, during and after a really strong acne treatment I went through. 

La base de Vichy Dermablend me ayudo mucho por años, durante y después de pasar por un fuerte tratamiento para tratar mi acné. 

I remember buying this little gem with high hopes and it delivered. Also it was my first "high-end" foundation (actually is in a place between high-end and high street). It has an amazing cover. I´ve probably bought like 5 of these. At the moment this one is in hiatus I just use it when I´m going to a wedding or a formal event and I want to put a little extra on the foundation. My skin has been in a better place and I try not to use heavy foundations to avoid clogging also since my skin has changed I can´t use this foundation without a primer otherwise I look shiny. Besides that it doesn´t break me out and is very lasting.

 Recuerdo haber comprado esta base con grandes expectativas, las cuales se cumplieron. También fue mi primera base "cara" (aunque en realidad esta en un punto medio entre marcas como Revlon, Maybelline y Dior, Chanel..). Tiene una cobertura impresionante. Probablemente me he comprado ya como 5 de estas bases, por el momento se encuentra en pausa y solo la uso para bodas o eventos sociales en los cuales quiero darle un poco más a la base para que dure. Ahora mismo mi piel esta en un lugar mejor y trato de no agredirla con bases muy pesadas para evitar que se me tapen los poros, aparte desde que cambio mi piel no puedo usar esta base sin primer si no me veo brillante de la cara. Aparte de eso, esta base no me ha causado problemas de acné y es dura muy bien durante el día.
