Fashion Week meets NYIG // Part 2 LFW

London Fashion Week is probably one of my favorite fashion weeks, I mean they DO take chance, no regrets.

Statement is a must and I always am amazed by the beautiful, edgy, elegant, trendy fashion. It was hard to pick one show between all the crazy and gorgeous trends yet decisions needed to be made or this post will be endless. So I decided to go with my gut and choose two shows based on my personal style and taste. I´m not gonna lie, it was TOO difficult:

Julien Macdonald

Sparkling elegance, thanks to all those wonderful beads. Who knew beads could look so classy? Every piece was so detailed and lovely it made me want to run straight to the show and stole a dress (since I can´t pay for it). For Julien, women should look beautiful every day and in every occasion. Even the subtle parade of certain animal prints was a delight well played among all the sparks and transparencies shown during the show.

Mary Katrantzou

It was too hard to pick the photos from this show since I loved every single piece. So I went for the statement pieces and the trends. First of all can we talk about the gorgeous colours? Is all you want for W/A season: navy blues, elegant silver, deep emeralds and sexy bordeaux. She went for all the package and presented amazing pieces of different kinds. She added a little bit of old school inspiration such as the crocheted and military notions among with modern standards and ideas. You can´t tell it is the flag of UK, a stop sign or a coat of arms until you stop and look closely, and then you gotta ask yourself: How the heck did she accomplish such beauty in something we think we have seen all the time in a different manner. She managed to create strong and delicate pieces at the same time, that´s the kind of woman Mary Katrantzou wears and the kind of woman I personally will love to become.
